Found this post in my drafts....must have started it and got distracted by a shiny object and walked away...LOL After almost 2 years away from dog events we decided at the last minute to enter Clyde and Lucifer in Herding Instinct Test and CKC Sprinter. Needless to say they brothers had a blast and took everything in stride, both earning their HIT and CKC Sprinter Novice. Huge shout out to the Australian Shepherd Club and the Foothills Gazehound Club for hosting the events. It has been too long since I have seen you all and I can't wait to do it all again in 2022. Well Linc and Jenny you have worked hard put in the time and overcome some things that made you feel a little uncomfortable. All the while you probably didn't even realize you were learning tricks that you could use to complete your Trick Dog Novice and Trick Dog Novice Masters Titles! A little back story on these two. Linc is a 14 month old male out of our Brinks and Wicca 2020 Litter. Linc grew up like the rest of the pups did in 2020. Not really able to get out that much to get that exposure a pup really needs at a young age and as he got older we were noticing some reactive behaviors showing up that we didn't really experience earlier. Like any good momma would do Jenny got on it and found a trainer that was willing to take Linc and her on to help them overcome some of Linc's insecurities which had also ran up the leash causing Jenny to feel a little uneasy as well. Probably 3 weeks into training once a week along with daily training at home Jenny and Link were well on their way to success and Jenny gained her confidence back as soon as she had the tools. Which leads us to today! I couldn't be more proud of them. Linc and Jenny both thoroughly enjoy their weekly classes with Andrea at One Smart Cookie Canine Services and plan to continue attending weekly classes and earn more Trick Dog Titles in the future. I can't believe it has almost been a year since the Brinks/Wicca Litter was born! Where did time go?! Pups are all grown up now and thriving in their new homes.
Now we sit at the beginning of 2021, wondering what THIS year will bring us. So while we ponder that here are some baby puppy pics from our 2020 litter! |
